1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Parallel ("the Service"), operated by Parallel HQ LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Parallel. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are 18 or older. We reserve the right to deny access, request additional age confirmation, or terminate accounts that violate this requirement.

3. Account Registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep it current. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. The Service

SoulForge is an AI companion platform. All companions are fictional characters powered by artificial intelligence. They are not real people. Interactions with companions are generated by machine learning models and do not constitute real relationships, professional advice, therapy, counseling, or crisis support.

AI-generated content may be unpredictable, inaccurate, or inappropriate despite our safety measures. You acknowledge this inherent limitation of AI technology.

5. Subscriptions & Billing

SoulForge offers paid subscriptions, standard credit packs, and dedicated voice call-minute packs. Billing depends on where you purchase:

  • On iOS: Subscriptions and consumables used inside the app are purchased through Apple using StoreKit and are governed by Apple's payment terms.
  • On the web: Purchases are processed by Stripe and governed by Stripe's payment terms.
  • Subscriptions: Auto-renew until canceled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
  • Credits and call-minute packs: Consumables are purchased separately and are not subscriptions.
  • Restore purchases: App Store purchases can be restored from the in-app billing screen.
  • Manage subscriptions: App Store subscription management happens through Apple. Web subscription management happens through the web billing flow.
  • Refunds: Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases. Stripe/web refunds are handled according to applicable law and our support review process.
  • Price changes: We may change pricing or included allowances with notice when required by law or platform policy.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to generate content involving minors in any sexual or romantic context.
  • Create companions that impersonate real, identifiable people without their consent.
  • Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
  • Attempt to extract, reverse-engineer, or circumvent our AI models or safety systems.
  • Share account credentials or resell access to the Service.
  • Use automated tools to interact with the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.).

7. Intellectual Property

The Parallel platform, including its design, code, AI models, and pre-made character templates, is owned by Parallel HQ LLC. You retain ownership of the text you write in conversations, but grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, moderate, and store it as necessary to provide the Service.

AI-generated companion responses, images, and voice audio are generated by third-party and first-party AI systems. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes unless we expressly authorize otherwise.

8. DMCA & Copyright

If you believe content on Parallel infringes your copyright, contact us at support@getparallelhq.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the infringing material, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Moderation, Reporting, and Support

Parallel provides report, block, and support channels for objectionable content, billing issues, and safety concerns. We may investigate reports, restrict features, suspend access, or terminate accounts to comply with law, platform rules, or our Content Policy.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, our Content Policy, or for any reason with notice. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings, which will permanently remove your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

12. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. AI COMPANIONS ARE NOT SUBSTITUTES FOR PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH CARE, MEDICAL ADVICE, OR HUMAN RELATIONSHIPS.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLEL HQ LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Parallel HQ LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.
