Terms of Service

By accessing or using Parallel ("the Service"), operated by Parallel HQ LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We will provide notice of material changes and require a new acceptance before continued paid-product access when the change calls for it.

You must be at least 18 years of age to create or use a Parallel account. We require a date-of-birth self-attestation and enforce the 18+ boundary on the server. Self-attestation is not identity-document verification. We may require additional age assurance where law or product risk requires it.

You must provide accurate account information, use a unique account, protect your credentials, and promptly tell us about suspected unauthorized access. You may not share, sell, or transfer account access. Parallel may suspend access while we investigate account abuse or protect the account.

Parallel provides paid AI communication software. AI output is generated by software and models; it is not a human statement, professional judgment, therapy, medical care, legal advice, financial advice, or emergency response.

AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, or inappropriate. You are responsible for evaluating output before relying on it or acting on it.

Parallel is a paid-entry product. The web launch offers monthly subscriptions through Stripe; there is no free tier, free trial, or annual plan at this time. Immediately before Stripe Checkout, we disclose the selected monthly price, renewal frequency, cancellation timing, and refund rule and require a separate recurring-billing authorization.

• Renewal: Your selected plan renews every month until you cancel.
• Payment processor: Stripe processes web payments. Parallel stores Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, but not full card numbers.
• Taxes: Displayed prices may exclude taxes that Stripe calculates at checkout.
• Allowances: A subscription may include the monthly usage allowances shown for that plan. Any future add-on or separate purchase will require its own price and purchase disclosure.
• Price changes: We will provide notice when required before a subscription price change takes effect.

• Ordinary cancellation: Cancellation stops the next renewal. Paid access continues through the current billing period.
• Refunds: Ordinary voluntary cancellation does not automatically issue a prorated refund. We provide refunds when required by law or when an authorized support exception applies.
• Deletion: Account deletion first obtains a confirmed subscription-cancellation result. If cancellation cannot be confirmed, deletion stops and reports the failure instead of silently leaving a live subscription.
• Deletion effect: Successful deletion ends access immediately, revokes sessions, removes active product data, and provides a deletion receipt ID. Unused subscription time is not automatically refunded except where required by law.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to generate content involving minors in any sexual or romantic context.
• Use the Service to impersonate real, identifiable people without their consent.
• Use the Service to harass, threaten, or harm others.
• Probe, reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or circumvent the Service or its safety and security controls.
• Share account credentials or resell access to the Service.
• Use automated tools to interact with the Service (bots, scrapers, etc.).

The Behavior Expectations and Acceptable Use Policy is part of these Terms.

The Parallel platform, including its design, code, and AI models, is owned by Parallel HQ LLC. You retain ownership of the content you submit, subject to any third-party rights. You grant us the limited license needed to host, transmit, process, secure, moderate, and store that content to operate the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms.

The Parallel software, design, branding, and underlying systems belong to Parallel HQ LLC or its licensors. AI output may not be unique, and other users may receive similar output. Your use of output remains subject to law and third-party rights.

If you believe content on Parallel infringes your copyright, contact us at support@getparallelhq.com with: (a) identification of the copyrighted work, (b) identification of the infringing material, (c) your contact information, and (d) a statement of good faith belief that the use is unauthorized.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Notice, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

We may investigate reports and use proportionate measures including warnings, feature restrictions, suspension, or termination. We do not promise that every message is manually reviewed or screened before processing. Contact support for safety, billing, privacy, or account concerns.

We may suspend or terminate access for a material violation, security risk, legal requirement, nonpayment, or serious risk to the Service or others. We will provide notice when reasonably possible and when law permits. You may cancel or delete your account through the product as described above.

Features, model providers, allowances, and supported devices may change. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Material subscription changes will be disclosed as required by law.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE. AI OUTPUT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL MENTAL HEALTH CARE, MEDICAL ADVICE, OR EMERGENCY SERVICES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLEL HQ LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUE, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM. THESE LIMITATIONS APPLY ONLY TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW AND DO NOT LIMIT RIGHTS THAT CANNOT BE WAIVED.

Applicable law may give you consumer rights that these Terms cannot waive. Nothing in these Terms requires arbitration or limits a right to bring a claim in a court or forum that applicable law makes available.
